AI Tools Selection Methodology
How tools are selected, described, approved, linked, and kept honest inside the Promtexe AI Tools Library.
Last updated: May 2026
How tool pages are handled
- Tools may be selected for usefulness, popularity, category fit, and creator workflow value.
- Tool pages can include categories, tags, use cases, complexity, status, and official website links.
- Promtexe does not add fake ratings, fake reviews, or unsupported claims.
- Indexable tool pages should be approved before appearing in sitemap or entity links.
Selection criteria
AI tools may be included in the Promtexe AI Tools Library because they are useful, popular, category-defining, relevant to creator workflows, or helpful for comparing AI production options.
Inclusion does not guarantee partnership, endorsement, safety, availability, pricing accuracy, or suitability for every user.
Tool data
Tool pages may use existing fields such as category, tags, use cases, complexity, status, pricing signal, output type, official website, and short editorial descriptions.
Promtexe avoids fake ratings, fake reviews, invented review counts, and unsupported aggregate scores.
Official links and changing details
Official website links are used so users can verify the latest product details directly with the tool provider.
Pricing, features, model access, geographic availability, terms, privacy practices, and product names can change. Users should check the official website before relying on a tool or making a purchase.
Indexability approval
Not every tool record should become an indexable page. Indexable tool pages should have a valid slug, useful description, category or use case, official website link, active status, and explicit approval.
Incomplete, draft, inactive, hidden, test, or placeholder tools should stay out of sitemap and should not receive SoftwareApplication schema as public recommendations.
Commercial context
Some tool links or placements may become affiliate, sponsored, or commercial in the future. Those relationships should be disclosed where practical.
For more detail, see the Affiliate Disclosure and Advertising Disclosure.
